Russ comments.......
Hawthorn City Band played at the Hyde Park (London) Rotunda August 1982. The caretaker who looked after us on that occasion was an Irishman. A few weeks previously (July 20th), near that location, the Band of the British Army Cavalry was blown up by the I.R.A. with 2 bombs........11 bandsmen were killed plus several horses. We survived.
